Learning New Things With Grandpa Norton!

We have been learning so many new things. We are now holding our own bottles with a little help, grabbing our feet and pulling them up to our head, laughing, eating cereal, sleeping 4-6hrs at night, rolling over a bit, holding toys with 2 hands, and much much more.

We had a great time with Grandpa Norton this week. He read to us and threw us around a bit. He even took care of the 2 of us all by himself so Mommy could go have lunch with Daddy one day. We are going to miss him when he leaves. He takes such good care of us and Mommy. We really missed Grandma Norton during this visit, Grandpa had to come alone because Grandma had to work. Can't wait to see Grandma and Grandpa Norton again soon. (we may be crawling then!)

Blast From the Past!

The girls are getting so big!
Sometimes I just look back and wonder how they already got so big!

Shawn's Dad is visiting us right now for 10 days! It is so nice to have someone out here who loved the girls so much. Shawn has been really sick and has been sleeping on the couch for the last 4 nights...it makes my night very long! We don't want him to go near the babies until we figure out what is wrong with him!

Hope u had a great love day!

We had a wonderful Love Day! Daddy left the girls chocolates in their bouncy seats before he left for work. I also found a treat hidden in the microwave from Shawn. It was a dark chocolate heart filled with Raspberry cream! It was awesome. The girls got their dad 2 bottles of wine...one from each of them, but they actually picked out Mom's favorite kind. Hmmmm? We actually got the girls to bed around 9:30 and watched a movie. I will post some Vday pics later in the week.

We are very excited because Grandpa Norton comes to visit for 10 days this Tuesday. We are a bit sad because Grandma Norton can't make it, but we will try to send her pictures so she doesn't feel so far away. It has been cold and rainy here as well, so hopefully it warms up for Grandpa's visit.

The Flowers Are Growing

Rosie and Lily playing in their Bumbo Chairs (this only lasts about 5 minutes)
Janelle and I went out for Happy Hour and a Pedi one night...it was so nice to catch up!

Here is the crew! Last weekend our Contiki Tour Friends came over to meet the babies! R-L...Dave (from Australia) Ashley and Chris (from Chino, CA)...and of course the proud Mama and Papa! It was very nice to have them over. We shared many stories about our trip to Europe.

As you all know Shawn is working 7 days a week until April 15th and the girls and I miss him very much every day! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he tries to stay awake during his 12hr work days! I know he is very tired from helping me at night, I am so blessed to have such a supportive hubby!

4 Months Old!

Well the girls are now 4 months old and growing like crazy! I was way off guessing 16lbs with Rose! Here are their new numbers...

LILY- 15.5 pounds, 78th %tile
24.5 inches, 51st %tile

ROSE
14 pounds, 52nd %tile
24.25 inches, 41st %tile

So, for the first time Lily is finally the BIGGER SIS! She has taken a big lead over Rosie. This is the biggest gap between them ever! They are healthy and happy. We have another visit on March 3rd! I am guessing 17 and 16 pounds next month!

Rose n Lily
Not to rub it in for all you Midwest folk,
but this is our walk twice a day...
looking at the mountains, smelling the flowering trees,
and feeling the 70degree breeze on our little faces!

Rosie played herself to sleep!

after she gets done teaching a bunch of CRAZY 2nd graders!

Fun Weekend

Lily, Rose, and their brother Mac on one of their walks with their mommy!
Rosie is learning to scoot around a little bit!
Lily is enjoying the new views.
We usually try to have 15min of tummy time out in the grass each day!
While we play Mac keeps a look out to be sure nobody comes to bother us!

We had a great weekend! Some friends from our Contiki Tour come to stay with us for a night. Chris and Ashley are from Chino, CA and Dave is from Australia. We had a great time catching up and sharing "untold" stories about our trip to Europe in "07. It was so much fun. They got to meet my BF Janelle, and our girls. They even bounced the girls around a bit. It was a great time. I will try to post some pics later this week.

We are off to the Dr. for our 4month check up...
I am guessing 16lbs each!

Bad news...good news...

Well, cereal didn't go well! They are not able to eat from a spoon yet, so it is going to be a while until we can see if cereal helps them sleep BUT...the good news...they slept really well last night. The girls both slept from 9pm-2am! And then again from 3:30am-6:30am...WOW! We napped for an hour in the morning as well. We think they are getting into a routine, slowly, but surely! I will try to post some pics later today or tomorrow! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying Feb.!

We will get pictures up sometime this week to show you how messy it got!

Sleeping record!

The girls are getting into a good routine now, only getting up once to eat between 9 and 5 when I get up to get ready for work.
Last night they slept the most they ever have, and after their 1am feeding didn't wake me up until about 5:30! I guess I can't count on them to be my alarm clock any more!
