Grandma & Grandpa Norton Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Norton were here from December 1 - 14th, and got to meet and help take care of their first grandbabies! They were a big help and spoiled Sarah rotten. It's been tough retraining her since they left! Here's some pics...

Grandma and Grandpa meeting their new grandkids for the 1st time! Rose on the left, Lily on the right.

Grandma was like catnip for babies - they loved sleeping on her.

Grandpa discovered babies LOVE the bouncy ball! It is now our best soothing method.

Outtakes...

You may be getting a Christmas card from us soon. It was not easy picking a picture, and Sarah was very sad to leave Mac out. But he was more interested in eating grass than being in a picture. It's a lot harder to make a dog sit still when you're also trying to hold a baby. Here's some pictures that didn't make the cut...

The name tags on the stockings didn't last long!

A baby riot...

Trying to make Mac sit still...

Mac is part grass-hound...

Finally! A good pose from the dog! But it looks like Lily is about to take a header onto the grass...

Many thanks to Rachel, our patient photographer! More of her work is available at whiteowl.com....just kidding...don't go there...fake website...

Cardiologist Visit

Lily and Rose visited the pediatric cardiologist today to get a heart murmur checked out. Their doctor had heard a murmur at their last visit on Nov. 8th.

Turns out they do have a small hole between two chambers of their heart. However, it is completely normal and should go away with time. In fact, all babies have the hole while in the womb but it usually closes by the time they are born. The cardiologist just wants us to check back in 6 months, and we do not have to do anything special in the meantime.

They are both growing fast - Lily is now 9 lbs 10 oz, and Rose is 10 lbs 1 oz.

Another relieving day!

Here are some photos I've taken over the past week or so with my phone. The quality isn't as good but it's much easier to capture the moment!

Lily (right) and Rose

The girls are now both 6 lbs, 6 ozs. I thought it would be easier to find time to post pictures but it isn't. Sarah's mom, dad, and brother are here until next Sunday, so I am going back to work tomorrow (Monday).
